I don't understand other people...

My mindset is always about love and Christian values. The good in life and others. The church seems manically religious instead of people living life with faith. The unbelievers I meet seem to be only about 'good times'......no one group seems to overlap. I volunteer and the other volunteers seem to fit into that cliche of a WASP do gooder. I am an abuse survivor, but the other survivors seem stuck in the abuse where I try to learn to cope and grow. I just seem to touch the fringe of groups. I don't fit anywhere and yet I just want to be myself and seek truth and be.
Why can't people just allow others to be themselves?
Why can't I just be kind without grief or surface observations from co workers or friends? Comments I guess I should ignore, but in real life your values can hurt you. I had a bible study w/ a few friends of color and my landlord refused to renew my lease.

I truly do not understand how so many omissions, distortions and outright LIES in the offical 9/11 Commission report have not sparked protests which blanket DC. The evidence is there. It's not 'speculative'. Larry Silverstein(leaseholder of WTC7) is on videotape saying "yea, go ahead and pull it. . ." ("pull" being a demolition trade term for "bring it down with explosives") regarding WTC building #7. Since it takes at minimum two weeks to set up explosives for a large steel building demolition. . . when were those explosives put there? Does anybody think that some demolition crew entered that building after the towers were hit and set explosives *just in case. . .*? Just in case of what?

It is not speculation to say that before 9/11, NO STEEL BUILDING had ever come down because of fire, even steel buildings with *much* worse fires.

It is a fact that burning jet fuel, even at its maximum efficiency, is not hot enough to melt steel. It is also a fact that the black smoke pouring out of the towers indicates that those fires were oxygen starved, i.e. NOT burning anywhere close to maximum efficiency.

It is a fact that satellite thermo-imaging located at least three 'hot spots' underneath the WTC rubble. These hot spots were so hot there were POOLS of molten steel that remained there burning for weeks.
What got the steel that hot???

There are so many disturbing implications in the available data that the whole country could be shrieking for a reopening of the 9/11 investigation, and *this* time without commission members who sit on the boards of multinational corporations with enormous vested interests in the Iraq war.

Are the majority of people in this country that fucking dumb and/or apathetic?

Dark Tunnel

Deep in the London Underground yesterday, as the train pulled into the station, I noticed the driver was wearing sunglasses. It looked very surreal.

Any explanations for this strange behaviour? You don't think they're employing blind drivers who won't see the dark tunnel of nothingness whooshing towards them do you?

What does the reptilian/survivalist part of our brain do best? Figures out the best way to survive and propagate. I submit that there is something about jerky guys that subliminally promises to Decent Women a better chance of getting what they want. Perhaps this is Protector/Alpha Male dominance (GoodGirlieGirls are allllllways drawn to this type of JerkyGuy); perhaps it is verility factor (chaCHING! says the female reptilian brain: "this male is fertile!"); hence a biological/sexual advantage to the penilically-mercurial male. . .

Ok, at risk of being labeled misogynistic; here's another non-understood peeve of mine.
In the grocery store, or K-Mart, or wherever, many women will wait until the cashier has rung up their total and THEN, reach down into that bag of chaos (purse) and fish out their fucking checkbook. Then they sloooooooooooooooowly procede to fill the thing out, of course forgetting that the cashier is going to ask them for I.D. . .. they fumble around in the bag of chaos for awhile longer (by which time all the males in the line behind her and groaning or growling) to find it.

I've seen this so often it's ridiculous, and I kid you not: I've never seen a guy do that.

Why is that???

I don't understand it!

Today I got a call from a sub I used to beat on a regular basis, but dumped about 6 weeks ago for lying to me. Today he wants to meet me for a drink. I say sure...I can use a Stoli. So, I go, we chat in a friendly way. How are you doing? I am fine, you? Fine, too. That kind of thing and then he asks me if I am seeing anyone new. I was honest and said yes. He casually asked about the relationship, and I told him it was going well.
He got all jealous and begged me to take him back. No way!
He asked why I dumped him in the first place. What? We had this discussion 3 times already.
So, I explain it again...like I was talking to a 4th grader...and he still doesn't get it. He lied! I told him from day one I would not, under any circumstances, tolerate that. Ever.
Anyway...so we got calmed down, he apologised, I accepted. and we hugged good-bye.
BUT! During the hug, he grabbed my ass!
He grabbed my ass!
That isn't allowed. He has never been allowed to do that. Why would he think he can now?
He said, "Well, I thought maybe we could change our relationship a little"
I don't think so.

Why can't a man just accept his place? Why do they need to question it? Why do they want to change things?
Why can't he just shut up while I beat the shit out of him?

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND why people with handicapped license plates drive LIKE THEY'RE HANDICAPPED!!!! I mean, if you can move enough to drive, can't you move enough to go faster than 16mph in a 30mph limit zone?
