Why would anybody buy an SUV called a "Mountaineer" in New Orleans?

    why those are urban assault vehichles, also useful to drive over the mountains of trash and horse dung from the equine patrols that corral the zillion tourists that parade in your city to party in the most creative ways to be numb and have fun. and i have been to many a fine parteee in that big ez. in fact let's see. my second marriage ......a amardi gras or two, sugar bowl, tulane-loyola,bowling green-grambling state, heritage jazz, eight visits to family...

        and the way this sorry ass day has gone, maybe i'll rent one of them mountaineers and road trip thru the desert and baja my way over for some crawdads, poboys and zydeco. oh yeah, i need a new wire wrapped alligator tooth. shit, NOLA in july....., actually air fare should be real cheap...grins..

          Must be why American Mensa just held its Annual Gathering in New Orleans. (I really wanted to attend, but finances did not permit.) Last year it was in Vegas. Two years before that, in Scottsdale. Next year, in Orlando. In August.

            for a bunch of genuises they have some some lame brain planners. looks like your not the only one on a budget. why not pittsburgh in feb.? or fargo in decmber? even the locals in NOLA split in july. but what do i know? i sweating it out in socal. it's 104. in the hills.
